QUEZON CITY – The Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) has once again earned national recognition after being named one of the country’s “Outstanding Accounting Offices” for Fiscal Year (FY) 2024 by the Association of Government Accountants of the Philippines, Inc. (AGAP).

In its official communication received by ILS in September 2025, AGAP commended the Institute for the “quality, timeliness, and accuracy of its FY 2024 financial reports.”

The awarding ceremony will be held on 07 October 2025 at the SMX Convention Center, Davao City, during AGAP’s FY 2025 Annual Convention Seminar and the association’s 75th Founding Anniversary. The award will be personally received by ILS Executive Director III Jeanette T. Damo, accompanied by the Finance and Administrative Division team: Mr. Camilo Franco S. Cabusas (Division Chief), Ms. Ivy C. Luna (Supervising Administrative Officer), Ms. Angelica Viel C. Dao (Accountant III), and Ms. Tranquilina L. Fallera (Administrative Officer V, Budget Unit).

This marks the fifth time that ILS has received the distinction, having first won in 2014, then in 2015, 2021 and 2023. The award is given annually to government agencies upon the recommendation of the Commission on Audit (COA).

Established in 1953, AGAP continues to advance the interests of government accountants and strengthen the efficient practice of government accountancy across the country.
