JOHANNESBURG –The Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) participated in the International Workshop on Addressing Just Transition in Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs): Learning, Leading, and Looking Ahead, held from 1 to 2 October 2025 in Johannesburg, South Africa.

MANILA – The Institute for Labor Studies (ILS), in partnership with the Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS) – SocioEconomic Research Portal for the Philippines, conducted this year’s Trabahong Trending on 02 October 2025 at Mapúa University, Intramuros, Manila.

The Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) expressed its strong support for the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), as it conducted a nationwide series of regional consultations and the Mid-Term Review of the Labor and Employment Plan (LEP) 2023–2028, held from October 9 to 30, 2025.

QUEZON CITY In its continuing effort to advance gender responsiveness in its programs and operations, the Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) conducted a capacity building on Gender and Development (GAD) Planning and Budgeting, GAD Accomplishment Report, and GAD Funds Audit on 20 October 2025 at the ILS Office in Quezon City.

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), through the Institute for Labor Studies (ILS), is ramping up efforts to prepare Filipino workers for the changing world of work through research-based policies on skills development, employment creation, and decent work programs.
