The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), through the Institute for Labor Studies (ILS), is ramping up efforts to prepare Filipino workers for the changing world of work through research-based policies on skills development, employment creation, and decent work programs.

Quezon City — The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), through its policy research arm, the Institute for Labor Studies (ILS), and in partnership with the International Labour Organization (ILO), convened tripartite and other social partners in Quezon City for a pre-COP30 consultation on Just Transition.

VARIOUS REGIONS – The Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) participates in regional consultations for Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, contributing to the ongoing development of the National Just Transition Framework.

ADDIS ABABA, ETHIOPIA – The Institute for Labor Studies forwards the Philippine Just Transition positions as countries convene the 4th Dialogue under the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Just Transition Work Programme (JTWP) of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) from 01-06 September 2025 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.  

QUEZON CITY – The Institute for Labor Studies (ILS), in partnership with the Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS) – Socioeconomic Research Portal of the Philippines (SERP-P) and Mapúa University, will hold this year’s Trabahong Trending, an annual ILS research colloquium for students and members of the academe, in support of the 2025 Development Policy Research Month (DPRM).
